Gas stove came with the apartment does not ignite

Please check the following if the gas stove dose not ignite.

① Make sure if you have started the gas service.

② If the battery indicator is on or blinking, please change the batteries.
The location of the battery box differs depending on the model. It is usually located in the front panel, or bottom of the stove.

③ Burner cap is not aligned.
Please make sure protruding part of burner cap (see the picture below) and igniter are aligned. If they are not aligned, it does not turn on properly.

④ Dirty temperature sensor/igniter.
If the temperature sensor or igniter is dirty, the gas stove may not turn on properly. Wiping the parts with a cloth may solve the problem. For the built-up dirt, brush gently with a used toothbrush, etc.

⑤ Please check to see if you have hot water in the bathroom and the kitchen.
If you do not have hot water, please push the “reset button” on the gas meter (located outside, near the water heater).  If that does not solve the problem, please contact your gas company directly.
