■Draining Water from Water Pipes
①＜If a water drainage system is installed;＞

②＜If there is no water drainage system;＞
When you are away for a long period of time or a freeze advisory is issued, please drain water from pipes by opening all water faucets (including hot water) after closing the main water cock inside your apartment. Then close all the faucets.
*No need to do anything with the water heater.

※In the apartments of wooden structure buildings you may find a manual water drain cock in the toilet room, the kitchen, or the washroom. In the second-floor apartments, an electric water drain system may be equipped. For inquiries, please contact Daito Kentaku Customer Support.

■Water Heaters
・If your bath has a reheating system, please do not drain the hot water and keep the water 5 cm above the circulation hole in the bathtub. Some reheating systems have the function of circulate water and prevent pipes from freezing.
・To prevent the freezing of pipes in winter, do not turn off the electric breaker even when you are away for days or when you move-out. The freeze protection function of the water heater does not work without electricity, and it may cause pipes to freeze or break.
