Sealing water which blocks odor from the drain pipe may have evaporated when you just move in if the apartment unit has been vacant for a long period of time. To eliminate the odor, please ventilate well and flush water into the drains of washstand, shower room, kitchen, and washing machine drain.

■Drain port in the kitchen
If you still have odor after flushing water or hear gurgling noise, please check if the odor-stopper (it looks like an upside-down bowl) is securely installed by turning it clockwise.

※In case of poor drainage, the drainpipe may be clogged. Please try commercially available cleaning chemicals first and contact Daito Kentaku Customer Support Center if the problem can’t be solved.

■Drain port in shower room
If the odor-stoppers are loose in a shower room drain or a washing machine drain, the odors come up. Please check if the stoppers are securely installed.
【How to check the stoppers】
1. Remove a mesh net such as a “hair-catcher” if you have.
2. Turn the stopper clockwise till it is secured.
