In some cases, the A/C’s malfunction could be solved by unplugging and plugging-in the power cord of the A/C's main unit. With the A/C’s power off, try to unplug the power cord and wait a few minutes, then plug it back in.
If the problem is still unsolved, please check the common causes, below.
1. Dirty filters
The cooling/heating performance gets poor when dirt, dust, or other debris gets stuck in the filter.
2. Obstacles near the main unit’s intake and outlet.
Curtains and furniture may interfere with intake and exhaust airflow and can cause poor performance.
3. Obstacles around the outdoor unit of A/C.
Weed, fallen leaves, and accumulated snow can interfere with the cooling fan of the outdoor unit and can cause poor performance or mechanical failure.
4. Check the operation “Mode” of the A/C.
Make sure It’s not running on “Dry Mode” or wrong temperature setting.
5. During the “Automatic Defrosting Mode” in cold weather, the heating function doesn’t work.
Let the A/C run for a few more minutes and see if the temperature changes.
If these don't work, please contact Daito Kentaku Customer Support Center.
Note: Your A/C information is required when you reach out to us: manufacturer, series model, and year of manufacture.
【In most cases, the details are printed at the bottom of the A/C】
