Move-out Procedure

What preparations do I need to make before moving out? / Frequently forgotten items

■In case you haven’t applied for a contract cancelation
First, apply for a contract cancelation.

■Necessary procedures after applying for contract cancelation

① Utility cancelation (Electricity, gas, water)
*Please make sure to cancel all suppliers’ contracts, including the ones that have been made at the real estate agency when you signed your apartment contract, such as Pint electricity, NHK, etc. 
*If you pay water bill combined with rent, there’s no need for contract cancelation. Our company will take the final meter reading for your usage.

② Fire insurance cancelation

③ Internet cancelation

④ Mail forwarding service procedure:(e転居)

⑤ Administrative procedures (notification of moving, change of address on driver's license, re-registration of name seal certificate, etc.)

⑥ Change of delivery address for online shopping, subscription purchases, and contactless deliveries, etc.
*Many misdelivery cases occur due to forgotten change of address.

⑦ Address change for each service you registered.

⑧ Removal of equipment that you have installed inside your apartment after you moved in.

⑨ Voltage/amperage restoration (only if changed)

⑩ Return the apartment keys

Others Throwable fire extinguishing tools*, disaster prevention goods

*When disposing of the throwable fire extinguishing tools (Easlow/Fire ni Pon) introduced by Daito Kentaku Leasing, the content can be discharged into the drain system. Please check the product package for details.

-Be careful not to take away things that were initially installed in the apartment when you moved in. If you are unsure if equipment was installed, please contact  Daito Kentaku Customer Support Center

 ■Move-out day
-Do not turn off the main power when you move out. 
-Please refer here for key handling when leaving the room.
